New amp
I have tested a new Amp and decided to do a changeover from my old 5150 to the Krank Krankenstein amp.
The Krank Amp does have a more versatile sounds spectra than the Peavey amp. I liked the modified 5150 a lot, but I just could not ignore the fact that the saturating gain and the tight bottom end of the Krankenstein made my bones shiver............So thats it - God bye 5150 / Welcome Krankenstein.
We are currently working with some new material and I am sure that a couple of months from now You will be able to hear the outcome from that.

Until then..........Keep it metal!!!

Some words from the new bass player!
I thought I would share some thoughts with you Sluggerz out there. I´ve been around with the band for almost a month now and it´s only a few days ´til my premiere gig with SLUG. Even thou it is far from my first live appearance it seems the nervousity never stops. And I´ve heard it´s something good! I don´t know…ha ha.

It´s never easy to join a band as a new member. Especially not when the other guys have been around for quite some time. They know each others playing styles, they have "silent" rules within the band, they have a specific way of working with songs e.t.c. But this was never a problem in SLUG. I´ve been welcomed as one of the "guys" from day one and I´m extremely grateful for that. I really love playing with these lads. One thing that seemed a bit unusual in the beginning is the fact that I come from a totally different school for bass players, than Johan Arvidsson, my predecessor. I think it was a huge twist or turn around for the original members but now I´m pretty sure they like my way of playing. And I hope I manage to give the songs a new dimension, bass-wise. At least that´s my strife when playing these fantastic songs. You judge at our shows!

I have to admit that I had my doubts about joining SLUG when Kalle asked me to join their forces. I knew the guys from earlier so that wasn´t a problem. It was mainly because I haven´t played Bass guitar regularely for two years since I made my last gig with INCAPACITY back in August of 2004, but also because I have difficulities planning my days due to a lot of engagements that are of importance for me. I was afraid that some engagements would be suffering because of yet another focus. It seems everything works out just fine, mostly because of the understanding from the rest of the guys. I really do thank you! And believe my word sluggerz… I have never…not for one second had any regrets according my choice! SLUG delivers the goods, big time! And WE´RE here to stay!

Meet you all in Hell…or at least at our next gig!

5150!!!!!
We´ve been testing new amp heads and settings to achieve the right "metal sound" for SLUG. In the end there was only one piece of equipment that was right; The Peavey 5150 120 watt head, modified by Daniel Forsberg at Allmusikverkstaden in Skövde.
Some time during october - december, we will enter the studio to record a couple of songs again........them You´ll hear the difference - or for that matter come and see us live!!

All drum- bass- and guitar tracks for the two new songs has now been recorded. Vocals and backing vocals will be recorded one week from now.

F**k Yeah!
Yesterday we entered the studio to record two new songs - we are trying a new studio this time. It will be very intresting to hear the finnished product (and I hope You think so too). The material is a little bit heavier this time and the sound will hopefully be a little bit more massive than on the two earlier recordings. Some new gigs has been booked and more will follow.
I´ll keep you guys posted......
bye

Kalle DOA CD 2005 and Final mix of new songs........................
Recieved our first DOA 2005 CD:s today - and I must say it was very exciting to hold a worlwide release CD
in my hand on which my band was included on. I listened to it today and I have to say it was absolutely
smashing. One bad thing though is that we have finnished the mixing of the four newly recorded songs and I
do not know which makes me happier - the four new songs or the DOA 2005 CD...............
Anyway guess I will have plenty of time to listen both to the DOA CD and our new songs. My favorite on the
DOA CD right now is Beer Belly by ENFORCER from Netherlands of our four new songs I like "Mayhem and
"Out Of Control" best right now, but I guess if You ask me again in a week or so I will probably like "On My Knees" or "Get It" better........
Check into the media section of the website and listen to the four new songs to see which one You like best.
